Happy Thoughts-Perfection

Greetings and Blessings

It’s Friday and today the thought that came to me was perfectionism.  Being perfect.

I read something that said “the white dove does not need to wash for whiteness.  neither does the flower in the fields beg for fragrance.

To over emphasize the need for perfection may push away the possibility to channel the perfection of who we really are in every moment of our lives.”

We are perfect as we are if we are doing our best in everything we do, then we are perfect.

To me being perfect doesn’t mean being flawless, it means being our best. Striving continuously to improve ourselves and our service to others. Of course we can strive for & achieve flawlessness in our physical crafts. I wouldn’t want to do a crappy voiceover, or make wonky jewellery. But I’m talking about our spiritual energy.

To me being perfect means being grateful for where we are in the moment, while still planning the next step up.

Always always learning and trying to get better, trying to find new ways of doing things that allow us to be of greater service to others and gain more satisfaction for ourselves.

Life is to be enjoyed not endured.

If we try to do everything 100 percent right life can become a bit of a marathon and be a bit troublesome.  Plus if we are spending our time trying to do what is right by others instead of our intuitive guidance,  who is deciding what is right?  What is the perfect action?

We are whole perfect and complete as we are.

Harm no one and do your best.

What do you think perfection means; what do you feel being perfect means?  What do you think striving for perfection feels like, and what does it mean to you.
