A couple of weeks ago, I went along with others to a little celebration in Whippendell Woods.
It was truly magical! Fresh air, quiet, peaceful and green. We sang, drummed and danced…then had quesadillas cooked over a small fire. Fab!
Whippendell Wood is an ancient woodland on the edges of Watford, England, covering an area of 165.3 acres. It’s believed to be more than 400 years old.
Owned and managed by Watford Borough Council (England), it is a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to its variety of woodland habitats. Whippendell Woods has held this status since 1954.
