Happy Thoughts – How to find your magnificence

How to find your magnificence – Positive Affirmations, Self Confidence, Develop A Winning Attitude
The other day I pulled an oracle card. The card that came up was Angel Sandalphon. The message that came up was “get in touch with your magnificence” .
That gave me something to think about. How often do we think about ourselves as being magnificent. That seems a a rather egotistical way of looking at ourselves . How dare we think about ourselves as being brilliant, glowing, magnificent, without thinking we are just being full of ourselves. We may not be on the cover of a magazine, or on the telly, or famous for our beauty or intelligence, so just what do we mean by thinking of ourselves as being magnificent. That’s nonsense! Or is it?
Just what does being magnificent mean? Just what was that card referring to when it said, get in touch with your magnificence?
Let’s think about this. We are one-of-a-kind. We’re all different. We all shine in different ways. We are are Superstars in some area of our lives even though we haven’t figured out what it is. The potential, the seed is there. To me, magnificence is being your best. Magnificence is knowing that you have a special talent, a special energy no one else has.
This could be raising a family, this could be the talent for making people laugh and feel happy to be around you, this could be a skill… You know how to make something people appreciate and like, & they look forward to seeing your new creations. This could be your talent for teaching people a skill; this could be your talent for seeing the best in people, you often know how to make people feel better about themselves and they’re grateful to you for it.
When you look in the mirror, look for the best things about yourself instead of maybe thinking about what’s wrong with you. Thinking about what needs to be improved about you.
Sometimes this could be a hard task but, how about looking in the mirror and thinking of three things that make you a superstar in your own world. If you can’t think of 3 outside things that people could tell you about; then think of three things that make you a superstar to yourself, it doesn’t have to be how you appear to others.

I think that’s what touching one’s magnificence is all about. Having confidence, not having to have other people tell us how wonderful we are. Knowing it ourselves. Having an inner joy, and feeling that in this moment we are ok, we are fine, we are acceptable.
We don’t have to wait until a future day when everything about us is perfect in our own eyes or in the eyes of the world. We don’t have to wait until we are perfectly fulfilled in our career or personal life. Right where we are, we are magnificent. We have goals, we have dreams, we may have disagreements with others from time to time, but so what… We don’t have to be perfect, we don’t have to have a perfect balanced life to be magnificent.
So getting in touch with our magnificence could mean just looking for the good in
ourselves, looking for what we excel at in this point in time without thinking about others might judge us. Respecting ourselves. Honouring our integrity, being – as the self-help books years ago used to say – being our own best friend.
Spending time alone and giving ourselves permission just be… Spending time with others and knowing we’re just as good as anybody else. We respect and honour others, but no one is superior to us. They might be better looking or more talented, and so on.. But in spirit, at our very core as human beings, no one is superior to us. Many people might talk a big game, but they’re not really all that. So don’t be intimidated. Be respectful but know that you are, we are, magnificent beings – each one of us is.

So let’s share, what do you think that card meant by honour your magnificence? And how do you get in touch with your magnificence, especially when you’re not feeling so magnificent. Do you ever take time to show others how magnificent they are? And how do you do it?
