Happy Thoughts – Oracle Card Reading – All systems are go!

As today is International Happiness Day, I asked the universe to help us,  give us some guidance for a successful happy week. I asked “What is the thing that we should focus on this week”, and “How should we do it”.

I used the Nature’s Whispers deck by Angela Hartfield and Josephine Wall.

19-03-17 OracleCardReading Blog-picsay

The cards that came up are “Ideal course of action”, and to the second question “Be gentle with yourself”. The crystals that I used for energy are labradorite , nuumite,  emerald, clear quartz , and my bag of energy balancing mixed crystals, and…my homemade wand!

Ideal course of action.
It is easy to be overwhelmed in the planning of a new endeavour. Simplify your plans . Clearly envisage what you would like to accomplish and find ways to ensure you stay on the path. Determine what you desire next. Visualise. Trust that this is an important phase that is necessary to maintain alignment and clarity.
So I believe we have to take a moment out of our busy-ness to slow down and think exactly what we want . Then be still and let ideas come to us regarding our choices, our options. In this card what is the lady wearing ?  A  gold, liquid dress. Gold is the colour of prosperity. Liquid could symbolise being fluid/flexible in our plans.

What’s at her back? There’s a lion and there’s a bear –  symbols of strength and cunning ?And what are they leaning on? A lotus flower – peace  There’s also a golden light in the distance -light at the end of the tunnel

Those are just some of the symbols in this card!  We can trust that the universe ,

the angels , the guides are indeed watching out for us. We can feel free to dream and then take steps to follow those dreams.

The second card is be gentle with yourself.
A time of new growth and energy is upon you. Draw upon lessons you have learned to assist you in moving forward. Notice how you’ve grown and changed as a result of everything that has transpired. Be ready for new adventure all signs are positive for successful outcomes at this time .
So this card doesn’t mean to make a radical change, rather I think it’s confirming to us that it’s ok to move to the next step in your goal.Consider the potential,  the pros and cons and move forward.

We noticed there are deer in the picture and a monkey – gentleness & cleverness. So tread softly and with good sense.

We can see the pathway is clear from the front of the card and moving through the mountains.

We can see that there is a pink, green, blue, and yellow bird next to the lady.

Pink and green are traditional colours used for the heart chakra . Blue is for a calm and the throat Chakra. Yellow is for joy and intellect & the sacral Chakra.

We can move forward with our plans for the week but maybe move gently with wisdom. Don’t burn any bridges yet!

Here’s a video of the reading.
So that’s the message for our week. Have a think. Your inner Wisdom will tell you how to interpret this message in a way that’s right for you.

Happy Thoughts – Mission Statement

Hello!

Alert! Today’s blog is filled with soul-searching questions.

20170226_110922

Today I’m writing about mission statements. I was reading a book by Lynda Field on 60 ways to feel amazing. She talked about “what is your mission statement .”
Why are we here? To make the world happier?

To provide a service that makes people’s lives more convenient? To help people to organise their lives?

When you have a mission statement Lynda says, your life can have a new direction and purpose.

She says we bring our own unique set of skills and strengths to this planet and we came here to use those abilities.

How do you feel about that? What is your purpose? Why do you do, what you do? What is your big reason for getting out of bed in the morning? How do you feel you can help others while bringing joy to your own self?

When we discover what is pushing us, or driving us from within ourselves and then match it up with our everyday activities we/I can bring a new joy to our lives and a direction. We can feel so much more energy. We feel uplifted. We feel a sense of purpose; we’re moving forward we’re helping others .

It’s easy to make a life plan a yearly plan a monthly plan a weekly plan a daily plan when we know where we’re going and why.

My vision is that our mission statement is like the roots of a tree, the roots of a plant because it gives us a foundation, a firm base. Then from there we can grow our branches and reach out to others.

The roots of the tree are is a mission our reason for being or doing.

The Trunk is ourselves our mind our physical body.

And the branches are us reaching out to help others to be part of the whole of society both the larger world and our smaller world of friends family and colleagues .

What do you think? How important is a mission statement to you? It doesn’t have to be a long drawn out document . Just a guide, a few sentences something short.
Do you have a mission statement? How did it come to you.. intuitively or did you do some kind of process to develop your mission statement?

My mission statement is constantly evolving, but it centres around helping and encouraging people to be positive and to be their best selves through my voice over work and other mediums.

That’s it for today friends! You can hear the podcast version, with an affirmation via the player below.

Happy Thoughts – Gratitude

Hello! Today I found some wonderful inspiration from Rhonda Byrne’s book The Power, that gave me plenty of food for thought. She talked about gratitude and its importance in our lives. Being grateful brings more good things to be grateful for. I loved how she’s wrote that “every spare second is an opportunity to be grateful and multiply the things you love.”

universe-picsay.jpg

Gratitude crosses all time zones. We can be grateful for everything  we’ve received, we are receiving and the good things that we want in our future. We can be grateful for future good as if we have it now.

Gratitude is love!

It’s lovely to even write down one thing every day that we are grateful for. One good thing that happened that day. Even if it’s a horrible day, if we look hard enough we can find the good that came out of that challenge. Sometimes we have to look very hard, but it’s there!

The Nobel Prize-winning physicist, Albert Einstein habitually found 100 things a day!

“A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life depend on the labors of other men (& women!-my addition),living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving.”

Here’s a recording of today’s podcast, talking about the book a bit more, and how gratitude can be a very helpful tool in our self growth, and we have a positive affirmation.

Happy Thoughts-Oracle Cards 4 the week – Vivid

via Daily Prompt: Vivid

It’s time for some oracle cards to give us a little food for thought for this week! Following the daily prompt – vivid, I was guided to ask:

How can we we make this week vivid, full of life and positive, whatever our occupation?

vivid_wp-prompt_05-03-17

If you’d like to listen to a recording of the reading whilst looking at the cards, here’s my podcast for today’s vivid themed oracle card reading:

Embracing the future (Gateway Deck)

“I step into the future with an open heart.”

Beautiful vivid colours – gold/yellow =prosperity

Mountains – unlimited expansion

Lady wearing purple dress – the colour of spirituality and royalty

Stars in the sky! Green, newly bloomed leaves – growth

What is expected in life tends to be realized. Expect the best;be open for anything. Simply be ready & open as vivid waves of sacred love and goodness will pour into your heart.

Auburn (The Secret Language of Colour deck)

Auburn – Ground Yourself

On the card there are pictures of towering trees in warm protective shades of auburn. It suggests to me a place of shelter & protection – where we can gather our strength.

Auburn assists with regeneration and increases our concentration abilities and assists us to develop a higher level of patience and stability;helping us to walk our true path of wisdom, peace and joy.

I feel that we could also enjoy a more vivid communication with our inner spirit and other people around us.

Emerald (The Secret Language of Colour deck)

Calm Your Mind, Body and Soul

This is an interesting card, as the crystal that I put in the middle of the cards – and this was before I turned the cards over – is a rough emerald!

Emerald green helps with overcoming our fears, releasing frustration and creating calm. It’s said it also helps to increase self-esteem, attract abundance and replenish our energy, giving us more a vivid experience of life.

Let’s rejoice in the emerald green ray and the wonder of nature.

So that’s our energy vibration for this week. 😀

Let’s do it!

Happy Thoughts-By the Sea, by the sea, by the beautiful sea…a photo journal blog

The other weekend we decided to have a day out, and decided the best place to go was to visit a seaside town we had visited many years ago.

We hopped in the car and were off to Aldeburgh. It’s in a lovely area on the East Suffolk coast.During the summer it’s heaving with people, but during the winter it’s relatively quiet, and we can enjoy leisurely walks along the shoreline. The beaches are lovely shingle beaches with driftwood here and there, and lots of fishing boats. Extraordinarily fresh, good fish and chips at The Mill Inn as well, & lots of small cabins on the beach where one could buy direct from fishermen & women.

It’s good to get away once in a while, clear our heads and relax!

Enjoyable day…most enjoyable, relaxing day!

Happy Thoughts-Poetry Prose Day

Today we’ve got a lovely magical poem about a rainbow by Charlotte Richardson. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a rainbow, but it’s always a lovely event.

319px-whererainbowrises

“Where the Rainbow Rises” by Wing-Chi Poon, Alberta Canada

It reminds us to stay open to surprises, miracles and beauty in our lives. No matter what, we can always find something good, something sweet in our life every day.

The Rainbow

By Charlotte Richardson

Soft falls the shower, the thunders cease!

And see the messenger of peace

      Illumes the eastern skies;

Blest sign of firm unchanging love!

While others seek the cause to prove,

      That bids thy beauties rise.

My soul, content with humbler views,

Well pleased admires thy varied hues,

      And can with joy behold

Thy beauteous form, and wondering gaze

Enraptured on thy mingled rays

      Of purple, green, and gold.

Enough for me to deem divine

The hand that paints each glowing line;

To think that thou art given

A transient gleam of that bright place

Where Beauty owns celestial grace,

      A faint display of Heaven!

And here is the audio, read for you by myself. There’s also an affirmation at the end!

Happy Thoughts – Poetry Prose Day”The Quiet World”

Hello! It’s poetry prose day. Today I found a great poem  from the Poetry Foundation called “The Quiet World” by Jeffrey McDaniel. It’s a good one for us Twitter generation peeps!

14708985829942.jpg

The Quiet World

By McDaniel, Jeffrey

In an effort to get people to look

into each other’s eyes more,

and also to appease the mutes,

the government has decided

to allot each person exactly one hundred

and sixty-seven words, per day.

When the phone rings, I put it to my ear

without saying hello. In the restaurant

I point at chicken noodle soup.

I am adjusting well to the new way.

Late at night, I call my long distance lover,

proudly say I only used fifty-nine today.

I saved the rest for you.

When she doesn’t respond,

I know she’s used up all her words,

so I slowly whisper I love you

thirty-two and a third times.

After that, we just sit on the line

and listen to each other breathe.

Here’s today’s  recording of the poem!

Happy Thoughts- Beer and Crisps please

via Photo Challenge: A Good Match

What’s my idea of a good match? It can be lots of things…fashion, jewellery spirituality… but some of my best adventures have been down at the pub with my husband, or with friends. And what do we start off with? As CAMRA members, it has to be real ale. And what to soak it up with? Yummy ready salted or cheese and onion crisps.

a-good-match

Just for general information CAMRA, The Campaign for Real Ale is an independent voluntary consumer organisation headquartered in St Albans, England, which promotes real ale, real cider and the traditional British pub.

The old pubs give us such  a feeling of warmth and friendship. Even if it’s our first visit to the establishment we can feel welcomed and at home. Sometimes in winter there’s a fire going and then it’s time to put in the first round of drinks and crisps. Even when there’s just two of us we take turns buying rounds. When there are more in the group, that’s fab too…conversation, jokes, bonding and friendship. Many of hubby’s and my important discussions – like where to holiday, business plans, goals and dreams – have taken place down at the pub over ale and crisps.

Stopping by a London pub sometimes in the evening for a swift half, and one doesn’t want to spoil the dinner that will come later…what does one snack on…beer/lager/ale and crisps! 😀

So many good vibes attached, that why I chose this as a perfect match…ale and crisps!

Happy Thoughts – Appreciation

rq-buddha-picsay.jpg.jpeg

Every day I read a bit from a book that I find quite inspirational, Dr Wayne Dyer’s Everyday Wisdom for Success.

There’s always something in there to inspire me. I like to have a look at it on my Kindle every morning when I wake up.

One of the messages that really stood out for me is this one:

To achieve success in all areas, shift your consciousness to an appreciation for all you are and all that you’re blessed to have.

Gratitude is so important. Even for the small things that we might overlook and think of as ‘nothing special’. I like to keep a gratitude journal and write at least 3 good things that have happened to me…sometimes more. You’ll see that life isn’t so bad. There’s always something good going on.. we just have to be open, aware and find it.

I did a little podcast about it. Have a listen!
