Let’s talk about courage. There is a book that I read sometimes called inspirational meditations. It’s a collection of thoughts and images…things to lift our spirits and here is one by Tom krause.
“courage is the discovery that you may not win and trying when you know you can lose.
That’s a good point there! How many times have you wanted to do something but you stopped because you were afraid
Maybe not afraid in the sense that you were in danger or something bad could happen, but afraid in the sense that there was a little voice saying why try the odds are against you.
Many are called but few are chosen, so what makes you think you are one of the Chosen ones.
What would your family or your friends say if they knew you were trying to achieve this goal. Maybe you are afraid that they would laugh at you, or think you’re reaching above your station above your capabilities … above what they are capable of doing.
Don’t be afraid. Have courage.
Just because we don’t know how to do something doesn’t mean that it’s not possible. We can learn, we can get training, we can get coaching
If you’re worried about what other people would say, then keep it to yourself. Get your training whatever you need quietly, smoothly persistently, go about your business and keep it to yourself, or only share with those who have your best interests at heart.
Trust those w
ho support you and who might even be working on their own projects, sharing your views, even though you didn’t know they share the same belief.
If you have a dream, but not the knowledge, get the skill how to do it, research get training make a step-by-step plan, have faith in yourself and give it a go… have courage.
Just because maybe no one in your current circle is doing that thing doesn’t mean it can’t be done.
Have courage. Again, as Tom Cross says, courage is the discovery that you may not win and trying when you know you can lose give it a go do your best have courage.
Do you have some examples that you might want to share when you tried something and you had Courage. Whether you tried something and it worked, or you try something else and it didn’t work. You’re still here, you’re still ok. It’s happened to me. Just keep trying… try different ways…get more training whatever you need.
And it’s really OK if it doesn’t work out at least you had Courage and your tried, and that will give you the energy to try again when you want to go a different path.
